What settings to use?

Just got my V1 today and already turned off the X and Pop, increased Ka sensitivity and found out that it doesn't do anything so that was changed back to stock. While I was driving I had a lot of False K band alert, does putting V1 into little L mode decrease False of K band? Because in the manual it talking about big L small L and X filtering and doesn't mention K band.

BTW: Just like always when I get a new RD I hook it up and go driving around looking for cops and guess what 30in later I gave up and went home, couldn't find any damn cops :)

Turning off X or POP won't change sensitivity. Turning off POP can reduce inexplicable bursts of K/Ka and also J alerts. But for me, both are extremely rare that I'd rather keep POP ON for entertainment value. That J-out sound sounds so cool!

By default, not really -- K-band signals of a very low strength from the rear combined with X-band bogeys in any direction will get muted, but this is a largely futile effort to cut down on K-band. The "problem" is that the V1 is so sensitive on K-band that even a shopping center half a block away will set off the V1 at a low alert strength. "quieter" detectors simply FAIL to detect these weak legitimate police-like radar sources.

Options 7 and later can be used to configure parameters for K-band muting in the two logic modes. Configuring those is highly recommended if you drive through cities.

Sorry me being very dumb.
I read the sticky on Monday and completely forgot what it was about because I didn't have V1 then.
I followed the K false suppression stiky except for the step 8 (I dont think I want to disable K from the rear antenna)

Sounds reasonable. Personally I don't have rear automute enabled either -- I feel it's a bit too excessive, and the thing should be "smarter" and if the alert initiates from the rear, it should come in unmuted.
