ok this might be a stupid question but what ever, when i buy a v1 agian would it be the same unit i returned a month ago or a brand new one., because i heard VR keeps tight records.

You must be joking, you think they keep every returned V1 just in case the original purchaser wants to buy it again? Refurbs are 349, guess where they come from?
They keep tight records like BMW does in the sense that they give you the "free maintenance" at any BMW dealer cause they WANT to have those records to make the car easier to sell as it has perfect service records.
VR just keeps records on when you bought it, how many times it has been serviced, for what, and the like. If you return it and buy another, they won't send you the same one, the turn that one into a 'refurb' like fire65 said.
That'd be pretty lame for them to do that.. :D
Humor us and try it. Do you remember the SN? I think you will find yourself agreeing with those above me.
Even funnier, call VR and say you want the unit with that SN. They would probably look at you like you had a third eye, but it would be funny none the less.
EDIT: I want to add that they DO keep track of your information, just not the SN. They charge you a restocking fee if you return the second one, so they keep your name and such.
