A coalition of partners in Portland, Eugene and Springfield kicked off the new “Eye to Eye” safety campaign this morning. The multi-city effort is aimed at all road users to foster a culture of awareness and respect on shared roadways, to make streets safer.
Over the next few months, the Eye to Eye campaign will unveil a series of local events and programs. The list includes bicycle bell and light giveaways, a family bike ride and a public service announcement shown in movie theaters targeting young drivers.
