i was discussing via aim with someone on the forum about laws on laser jammers though i see where in oklahoma where i got my ticket that they are outlawed in the state...
see that im from kentucky where laser jammers are legal and that is where my residency is.... i would think federal statue would take precedence b/c since the crossing of state lines....obviously federal statue on laser jammers as of to date they are legal go figure they are legal in most states.
thanks to all who reply

Re: Working on setup laser
I'm pretty sure they'll stop you if they are illegal in the state, and you decide to jam to gun.

Doesn't matter where you live. It's where you use the jammer that determines if you are breaking the laws.
Federal Laws do not state that jammers are legal. The lack of a law prohibiting it's use means we are free to use it.
However, each state has the ability to enforce laws that govern their individual state.
If you use a jammer in a state that considers it's use illegal you are violating the law of the state and are subject to the penalties that state imposes.
They should have a searchable database of laws or keep a database of "offenders".
I.E if I lived in kentucky where jammers are legal, and I drive to oklahoma and get pulled over by an officer, he could run my plates and say something like "Hey buddy, I know your from kentucky an jammers are legal, but here in oklahoma they are not legal. This is your first time being cited for this so i'll give you a warning. If you get cited again you will be fined"
Then note that license XXX-XXXX from kentucky was warned.
But that facts are states are money hungry and don't care if you dont know the laws.
It's your responsibility to read through the thousands of pages of laws for each state before you travel.
LOL
Re: Working on setup laser
LI no doubt..just use it...jam the laser..slow down to psl..shut it off and give him a reading
Re: Working on setup laser
Like the others have said, just use it wisely, and you won't have any problems.
Current North-American enforcement hardware shows so many spurious error/jam codes that no enforcer could take such notices seriously, and still properly perform his/her job.
As long as you're not "hyperspeeding," and you're able to properly tactically disengage jamming before arousing suspicion, there really should be no problems.
But as far as "by the books" legality goes? Yeah, it's not gonna fly.
Re: Working on setup laser
In my thinking it would be like living in NC where RDs are legal and driving through VA with it and getting caught.
