Radar Software (For your PC)
Hey guys,
I released a couple of radar-related software programs at my website.
The first one I've dubbed "Software One".
It allows you to connect your Valentine One to a PC via serial or USB, and it emulates the remote display and allows you to log alert data to a PC file. I reverse-engineered the remote display protocol, and the software bsically taps into it.
What can this be used for? I don't know but if anyone can find a use for it it is the people on here!

The second program I called "Radar Verifier".
This is like a "virtual tuning fork" set. If you have a radar unit, you can use this software to verify calibration throughout the operating range of both stationary and moving mode radar. Instead of the sound coming from a tuning fork, it comes out of the PC speakers. This is a full-function demo (pardon the nag screen!) And no, this won't set off your radar detector, or jam police radar (by itself)...

The third program is "Radar Line Of Sight Calculator".
Not too much to it, it calculates radar line of sight between two points. This can be useful when weighing the pros and cons of different places to mount a detector. After you play with this a little, you'll understand why Roy's use of a "straight five mile stretch of roadway" in his tests was a solid choice :)
