By comparison, a speeding ticket for 20 over in a regular 65mph zone is $155.60 total. 100mph in a 65 would be $267.80.

Yeah 100+ isn't justifiable if there are workers present...

While I obviously agree with that, around here construction zones typically extend miles beyond the actual work, and sometime are patrolled as such when no one is present.
