I'm sure your V1 is fine. There are so many things that affect radar reception. There are several articles around which discuss these things.
Your V1 and 690 are interfering with each other , thats why the V1 acted like that.
Good catch SF, did not even notice that.:o
Yeah thats my bet too, you shouldnt run two RD in the same car (though a lot of people have had some success with CERTAIN setups), its just not a good idea, you have a V1, its one of the best, turn off the other one and let V1 do its thing.
I actually run the v1 on the side of the 9500ix for testing (I just got my v1)
The only problem I have is that now I need to find a new owner for my escort because its getting owned out there.
But in your case, you should prob run one or the other. You can also try running them on exact opposite sides of the windshield. It might help cut down crosstalk
The only combinations that are "known" not to interfere is either two Bel/Escort stealth models, or a Bel/Escort stealth and a V1.
Bel/Escort stealth models being STi Driver, STi-R, 9500ci, and the new Redline.
Other Bel/Escort models may affect the V1's sensitivity. In my experiments with an X50 and a V1 the V1 didn't seem to affect the X50, but the X50 did affect the V1. This is an older, S7-platform X50.
Also, if you see a cruiser and then get an alert, and you know it isn't I/O, it could mean the radar antenna is pointing away from you. You'll know this if it gets stronger after you pass the cruiser. Or it could be a handheld gun sitting on the seat, or a radar pointed sideways (which can't clock speeds).
Maybe GOL should test combinations of detectors for interference some day when they have time.
