The newest is the 3.872
V1- you know what your going to get.
Redline- the jury is still out. Not saying anything bad about it yet.
If you buy a V1 you will get 3.872 which I have two of and love them. There is enough reading on here about the Redline and the V1 to wear you out. You know you can try each of them for 30 days. Alot will depend on where you live, how you drive and what you expect. Have you ever had a RD? What is your budget? You may need jammers depending on where you live. Go read alot of the old stuff to help you out. No RD is the BEST for everyone, no matter what you read.
v1 hands down, v1user speaks the truth
I would go ahead and get the V1. There are some members on here that are still "beta-testing" the Redline; CBR found a Ka 35.5 glitch in one of the Redlines he tested.
It wouldn't matter if the Redline were perfect on QT (which it obviously is not). It would still have zero advantage over a V1 in any realm other than Spectre invisibility. Totally a non-factor in FL or NY, unless you're a commercial trucker.
I say get the V1. Then wait until the bugs are worked out of the Redline. Once that happens, if you don't have much of a Q/T threat in your area, sell the V1 and buy a Redline. If Q/T is a threat, you really don't have much of a choice ... keep the V1.
This scenario works well because the V1 has excellent resale value. You should never lose much money with the V1 (I once sold a 7 month old unit on eBay for $400.00).
