i was wondering because detectors sweep how long does it take to do this,
i understand they use the dsp for this but how fast is it scanning and can it be made any faster, and if i can would it help detection.
because i can see that if they just scan the narrow part of ka it dramaticly affects detection ranges!
Generally around 300ms but depends.
pretty fast i wonder if they have got it down to 100 or 200?
The limitations of the detector are not so much the sweep speed as the delays introduced to cut falsing.
