Wisconsin / Illinois people - Anyone willing to help test my new LI install?
Hey all. I'm located in milwaukee. Ive been trying to find a Kustom prolaser II or prolaser III to test my set up. I have a 07 328xi coupe. 2 heads in the front bumper next to the fogs and 1 head in the rear next to the license plate. I'm pretty sure the rear head is non functional as it doesn't work as a parking aid and doesn't respond to remote controls.
I can post pics of the install if anyone is interested.
TIA and greetings from a new member!

So you are going to prove to the local LEO's that Jammers work? That seems to be a big no-no on the forum. All it does is give the LEO's firepower in making them illegal in your state.

Uh no... These are very close friends of mine who happen to be in LEO and are willing to lend a hand in testing (cuz they don't believe it). Trust me, not all LEOs are angels

But LEO's do talk (even inadvertently) and that is the word that we would like not to be spread.

Not only are you taking non believers and making them believers, you are giving them the training they need to defeat jammers. Please do not use LEO's for testing, I don't care of they are your brother or father. You are doing yourself and every other countermeasure user a grave injustice!!!!
Fritter is now defeating jammer systems thanks to the training Forum members have given him and he was a non believer when he first came to this forum as well. These guys will learn, they will yak about it to their buddies who yak to their buddies (one of which is a state senator) and next thing you know you have a ban in your state. At the least you are training them to defeat the systems of other countermeasure users!!!! STOP!!!!!

Re: Wisconsin / Illinois people - Anyone willing to help test my new LI install?
hey mate... haha nice post... actually while i type this i'm sitting on our bed at the campus inn on state street in madison after a bit of a short but sweet night out...
i didn't meet up with savax... nor would i ever show my car to a 'leo' (fckin hate that cheezey term). Suf daddy is offering the Prolaser rentals on a weekly basis so I would MUCH rather rent one of those and do my own testing than jinx myself by being cheap...
I'm a math guy...err finance guy... and work on milWALLkee ST... haha..
I'm looking to find out really how well the LI works... I just saw a couple videos showing the LI punching through at 900ft -600ft and this is troubling to me.. especially after spending good money on the unit.
I've got some great ideas that id prefer not to post on the net.
ANYONE else in the milwaukee / madison / chicago area want to test our equipment?
fasthappy... please tell me you're not a snowbird... come meet up in madison tomorrow at the weary traveler at around 2PM!
PM ME!!
Re: Wisconsin / Illinois people - Anyone willing to help test my new LI install?
1. I have no worries about SavaX proving to LEOs that jammers work if he was going to be testing the system which shall not be mentioned here, proving he FAILED to read the forum rules that he agreed to. That will leave them only more convinced that they don't work, so this could be a good thing for us.
2. Wisco, if you think a video of an LI getting PT at 900 feet says anything about the quality of LI protection, then you may have a misunderstanding of how things work. LIs don't fail. Installations fail. Install it correctly, and you are gold. But installed poorly, it's like expecting cardboard to stop a bullet. Although, even then it will usually outperform a ZR3.
3. I may be misunderstanding your signature info, but if you only have one head on each end of your car, that would qualify as a poor installation. Prepare to be pwn3d. You'd be better off putting both heads up front until you can afford heads for the rear. That way, at least half of your car is protected. Right now, none of it is protected. BMWs are among the hardest cars to protect because of their ugly design.
4. Yes, UW is definitely famous for their co-eds. And I've spent some very nice nights in Madison over the years. They know how to keep a man warm!
5. LOL@eat brats
That is all. Carry on!

Re: Wisconsin / Illinois people - Anyone willing to help test my new LI install?
Stealth Stalker; believe me, I have done my research on the LI. Like your quote says, buy the best and screw the rest right? I saw the video of the punch through on one of the links posted in the goon watch section. You'll have to excuse my ignorance, I'm new to the site and quite frankly i'm not sure what purpose the goon watch thread really serves.
I'm the type of person that likes to learn from first hand experience rather than faith based trust. I'll be testing my LI as soon as I free up some time and maybe find one or two people locally to help out.
As far as my set up, I have 2 heads up front and 1 slim in the rear. I pointed this out in my first post. So please quit bashing the newbie ;)
Here are a couple pics for your view enjoyment :)
