Do other people let you mount your V1 in their car?
I'm visiting my parents and we went on a road trip. I always bring the V1, extra cord, mount etc.
Everyone is always annoyed with it for some reason and say it's "too noisey"
even though I just run Ka and laser and every beep is a real threat.
Anyways, so take the car on a road trip outside Seattle. There were plenty of speed traps, some were mobile and some were stationary.
On the way back there were 3 cruisers at one time, 2 marked on both shoulders and another unmarked blue one with a client. (Washington State Patrol)
My dad hits the brakes like everyone else. I just laughed at him and told him he's already tagged, but he wasn't going that fast enough.

Majority of the people I know don't think they are needed.

Ya, that's what they say.
"I don't drive fast".... Then you get on the freeway with them and they are doing PSL + 20....

On 405 ? I saw it on some of the many Islands that we took the Ferry to, but not on the freeway.
My dad has a nice SUV, I was dreaming of installing a quad LI on it.

It's their car and they are the drivers. So if they want to go fast and get a ticket, so be it. If they want to go slow, I'll go insane watchin' the speedo.

Lately all they have been using is LIDAR:mad: Plus I am only driving threw Walworth, Kenosha, and Racine County and I haven't seen one. Before the LIDAR thats all Kenosha and Walworth ran was K band Racine had some KA. Troopers it varies....
Re: Do other people let you mount your V1 in their car?
Ya, my father admits he sees a lot of laser here.
Last time I visited I saw a LEO on a motorcycle with a Kustom Pro Lite.

My dad runs a cobra and when I ride with him his false alerts drive me crazy:026:. When he forgets to grab his RD I grab mine and he doesn't mind. He always mentioned that my 955 was so quiet unless there was a speed sign or actual cop. He hasn't ride with me with my V1 but I know he wants one and after getting mine I think that where going to get him one since his Cobra is dying!!! Finally:dance3:
