Who said the tint strip blocks radar, only if it is a metallic tint strip!!!
I could see it might affect laser but I doubt much.
It's not the darkness of the tint that blocks radar. It is the metallic content. Not all tints have metallic content. These days, most don't. But radar is not light. It is unaffected by colour or darkness.
Laser is affected by colour and darkness, but laser light is infrared, and not visible. It is not affected by the dark red (not black) of the lenses. In fact, those lenses filter out most other light except for the infrared laser.

How do I know if my 20 year old car has metal in the tint?
It has an orange color to it, but seems faded.
