I am not sure if a fix is in store for the V1 laser falsing as of right now. Usually if their is extra laser falsing, there is probably some sunspot activity.
Remember, you heard it here first.

Hmm. I wonder if my unit falsed on Laser when I drove to work today because I didn't see a cop anywhere =[
It was a Sunny day today too!
Re: Breaking News: LIDAR Falses Caused by Sunspot Activity
IIRC sunspots don't emit IR pulses.
With the V1, just about anything can cause a laser false. Sunlight through trees (where the trees momentarily interrupt the sunlight) can cause them, as can water droplets on windshield + sun (refraction). And then the neon brake lights, Infiniti LCC, toll booths, etc.

That about sums that up... :D
Re: Breaking News: LIDAR Falses Caused by Sunspot Activity
Is there any way to filter the laser on the V1? I was watching some of the You tube videos and it looks as though it does false alot on laser. I am getting ready to try out a V1 this week. :)
Thanks

Well, you could always read the thread at the top, titled "READ THIS FIRST!", which has a link to the programming thread. ;)
But yeah, you can disable laser, and so long as you are running a competent front and rear jammer, it's not a bad idea. Although, I would disagree that the V1 falses "alot" on laser. Maybe once or twice a week, when you pass an Infinity, but that's not what I'd call "alot". And unfortunately, the jammer will false to the same things, so you're not accomplishing much by locking it out on the detector.
BTW, awesome user name!
