I may be traveling to St. Johnsbury, VT in the near (or distant) future. Any idea what enforcement is like in that area, and what radar/LIDAR to expect?

When I went to visit a buddy of mine in Burlington a few weeks ago, I didn't see one Vermont police officer the entire way. Went a consistent +30 on the backroads when I had the space. I'm sure locals can chime in better, but from my experience enforcement was scarce.
It's a really bad idea on relying on VT enforcement to be "scarce." Quite often it is, but quite often it isn't. Especially in current economic times. VSP exclusively use I/O K and generally speaking you can kiss any chance of advanced warning good bye, due to the terrain and lack of traffic. I've heard some tales of laser by that staties, but I know a few local deparments use it, so people might have confused the two. Personally I'd rather they use laser....
Also 30+ is jail time. It may sound reasonable but once you get on those WFO stretches of 89 and 91 it is very hard to resist opening it up.
