Re: 9500ix Or Redline ???
FWIW if I were in your shoes:
I'd go with the Redline for sure... mostly outside the city, spirited driving on highways/back-roads w/hills-curves etc... I just would want an all-out sensitivity monster... and that my boy is what the Redline is.
Then again, I dislike the M4 junk antenna that Belscort has put into their 9500i(x) units... and can't see spending $500 for an M4 for 'top tier' detection that their decade old units matched/beat.
Re: 9500ix Or Redline ???
The perfect solution to your concerns is the 9500ci, a bit expensive but would be a perfect fit (Redline/9500ix in a remote unit).
As for Redline vs 9500ix they both have there own advantages like you mentioned. For me if the choice had to be one it would be he 9500ix, the features coupled with its above average sensitivity is very good, and its very well rounded. However the Redline is definitely more sensitive, but that's it.
Try them both for 30 days and decide for your self.
My guess is the Redline will be a better fit for a Mustang owner, unless its a V6 (which the GT's are not).:D

Compared to most other average RD's, like most whistlers lower end Belscorts the 9500ix is a more sensitive unit.
Re: 9500ix Or Redline ???
Between the two, there's know doubt about it. The Redline by far and away is the better RD.

If you are only looking at sensitivity, i agree.

OHHHH... so against units that are 2.5x as it cheap it does better than them... my bad, I thought we were going to compare apples to apples (you know... similar price range... ie above average in class)... so you're 100% correct: I mean if we include RMR, Cobra, KAT plus the ones you mentioned and get average db numbers... it would be above that average...
You are correct in that case... against units (at least) 2.5x cheaper it does beat them (marginally, and not in all aspects) regarding radar detection.
Just curious how you got the 'average' BS... because in the high-end price range, as far as RADAR detection is concerned... it isn't even close!
V1 $400, RL $500, Sti $470 > M4 Belscorts (including the 9500ix $500)... you know, in an apples to apples comparison... but that isn't 'average' because thats not including units that aren't 2.5x as cheap.
Really just curious as to how you randomly attributed average... but that explains a lot... so thanks for clearing that up, I now know what you mean by average!
Re: 9500ix Or Redline ???
My 9500ix is reasonably close to my V1 on Ka band. Definitely not as good, but my V1 doesn't crush it. Here are the results from the 34.7 Ka band speed sign test that I ran.

Never said it did... if that was referring to me in any way...
