I just installed my LI yesterday. During the installation when we plugged in the sensors to the CPU, we heard "Connection to sensors 2 & 4 are bad". Switched from ports 1 & 2 to 3 & 4, still got the message. Finally we went to ports 2 & 3, and then we heard welcome. Is this ok? Any reason we couldn't connect to 1 & 2?
Yes, DUAL LI's Sensors are to be connected to Ports 2 and 3 and QUADs are Ports 1 and 4 for the rear and Ports 2 and 3 for the front.
There is a large bright pink neon sticker attached to the CPU shipping holder with these instructions as to Port Assignments on them. :)

Another question: I have the Gen 8 version, and when I tested the receiving it only gave the siren alert, and then the type of gun being used. It did not say "jamming sequence activated, please slow down", is this a standard setting for the Gen 8 or do I have something setup wrong?
There is nothing wrong with your set-up. Your Laser Interceptor is functioning normally. The new Generation 8 has shortened Voice Alerts that now only issue the siren followed by the LIDAR ID. The "Jamming sequence is activated, please slow down" has been eliminated from the new Generation 8 Voice Pak.
