Re: 8500ci on RadarBusters
$800 ouch. Wonder how well we can expect it to perform.
Re: 8500ci on RadarBusters
I'd rather spend a bit more and get the STi-R plus...
Re: 8500ci on RadarBusters
man, what a convoluted product-line.
the same brains with an M3 is $1200, so that's $400 for the M3 antenna, alone
or
this is actually a 9500ix-Remote
perfect for my wife because she could no longer leave it baking in the sun

I don't think the 8500CI has the autolearn ability of the 9500IX, you have to manually lock out locations, at least that's what someone on the Escort forum said.

Fair enough. I stand corrected.
so, at $800 it's an even better value than I thought

Correct, the 8500ci Plus does not include the AutoLearn feature that is found on the 9500ix, 9500ci, and Beltronics STi-R Plus. You will have to manually mark all false alerts with the 8500ci Plus. The 8500ci Plus also has access to the Defender database.

For once, I agree with you!
Re: 8500ci on RadarBusters
So it's a 10 yr/old old SR7 with GPS tacked onto it... just what I've been waiting for all these years. LULZ!
BTW: Where did the QI45 go on RadarBusters? I thought that detector was going to be a HUGE HIT! I mean with all the research they did before making it and how it was exactly what the consumer wanted... that thing was going to be the next big thing in the market, I thought it was going to be top seller since day one, I was saying it all along!
Oh jeez... it's just too easy haha.
