-My 1793 has served me well over the last 3 years, and kept me ticket free.
-My car is a Veiled black Miata (no front plate), so it is nearly laser proof until 100 feet or so. The extra laser sensitivity of the X50 wouldn't be much of an asset.
-Funds are limited, and a hole just appeared in my well worn, original leather seat. A replacement set of leather seats is about two times the price of a detector. In the next year (due to school), I can only afford new leather seats OR a new detector. **Leather or vinyl are the only real options in a convertible because the interior seats need to be more weatherproof than cloth. I hate vinyl.
