Now how often does this happen!?!

So I pull into the gas station last night behind some 'riced-out' cavalier, he is at one pump, I am at the opposite side... he has his windows down and I saw the most astonishing thing ever.

This Hick looking kid, had a Cobra set up PERFECT. The RD was mounted high, (actually it was mounted so good): The lense was looking out below the tint strip (just barely), and the suction cups were up in the heavy tint-band making the RD very hard to see at any angle but the side. This thing looked dead-level, both vertically and in the (all important) horizontal aspect.

The only thing he didnt have set up was a nice hard-wire kit, but being a Cobra, thats no shock.

Anycase: I mean it was just something so different to see... a correctly mounted RD (a Cobra none-the-less). Normally we see a good amount of the high end RD's mounted sub-par, but almost all Cobras.

This kid had everything set up darn-near perfect, except he had a Cobra.

Contrary to published reports some current graduates of the public school system can actually read (and spell) at some level. You probably saw the valedictorian of his class and he actually could read and follow the directions. Kind of like sighting an albino deer, rare but not unheard of.

You are a lucky man Air. To actually see someone who owns a Cobra have it mounted correctly. Unfornately I have never seen any Cobra ever mounted near perfectly

Mine was, back when I had a cobra.

Had it hardwired right below the mirror.

I have never seen a cobra mounted right except in my car, when I got my V1 I gave it to my ex :x and she had it so freaking off it was hilarious, I fixed it for her and told her why it should be like that, she didnt care it was way down low and sloping to the left. I also saw a V1 in a suburban the other day on the dash right in the middle of the gauge hood. I almost rolled my window down to ask him if he knew that the rear antena was just for looks but the light turned green and he went speeding off. I also see Whistlers in the strangest places.
