Is this a good way to test you laser jammer and detector? Does it have the same power and divergence as a regular laser gun? This thing measures speed up to 400mph and can be bought for under $200.

Interesting. The Osprey rangefinder is a popular one here for testing laser detectors and jammers here, it's available for a similar cost, or cheaper.
If I'm passing you on the right, YOU are in the wrong lane!
If speed kills, how come I'm still alive?

The Osprey rangefinder looks better but i don't think that they make them anymore. Although, Newcon Optik seems to make a similar product but at a higher price.
look on ebay, there are heaps on thereOriginally Posted by ltilaser
What about bushnell products? Aren't they made by LTI? I would assume that they share similar hardware as the LTI speed guns.
different pulse rates etc but if they are 904nm they will set off your detector.
Also try sending a file on your cellphone via IR and while transmitting hold the cellphone infront of the laser diode of the detector, this should set it off! I know it worked on my RX65.
Jeez, guys! What about one of these?
Help me out here. I just looked on ebay for "osprey rangefinder" and "osprey laser." Both searches resulted in *zero* hits.Originally Posted by stalker
My uncle has one (not sure on the brand), and I used it to fire at my detector and it did set off the laser alert... it also set off my bro-inlaw's X50.Originally Posted by ltilaser
pretty much any laser range finder will work!
