I recently snagged a late-model MPH K-55 K-band radar unit on eBay, and it arrived today.
One of the switches on the main unit has 3 positions that read "STA", "MOV", and "PBL". I know "STA" is for stationary mode and "MOV" is for moving mode, but what is the "PBL" position for? Also, there is a switch on the antenna that says "T" and "C" on it. Nothing else except a label that says to keep it in "T" unless the patrol is going over 40 mph.
The unit came with one K-band antenna but no manual. I ordered a manual from another eBay seller but I probably won't get it for a few days. I figure Jimbonzzz or some LEO knows what it's for.
I tested the radar in my car, which is a in parking lot parallel to the road. I clocked a couple cars at 41 or so MPH in the 30 zone. And that was with some cosine error I'm sure. But it proves the unit works. It pegged my V1 as well.
