Suggestions for radar at $200

Well i've been reading this forum every now and then reading what people like and dislike. I actually had my hopes up on the XTR-560 before it was released. But after it came to realize i might want another detector.

I have about 200$ to spend on it. I was just researching some more. I know i cant afford any of the big 3. with my budget aleast.

I drive from Detroit to Chicago about 2-3 times a month. in the pitch dark hours, so i can't really see any LEO's untill its too late. So i would like that extra second or 2 to let me let off on the gas.

Something i was considering was the rx-65/ v995 and i'll still be considering the xtr- 560.

I would prefer the V995 than the XTR, just because is close to the Top 4(performance), and has the same hardware that the RX65 has. Talk to Roy so he can give you a discount on it.

Again as others stated... talked to Roy on this issue, he will try to help you get he V995 for the best price he can give to you, and you will certainly get a great detector in the V995 from him.

With that said if you still cant get the V995 (because of money issues since it is more expensive), StealthJamal's recommendation is spot on with the 895.

so the 895 is only sold thru radioshack? but at my price range.

How diffrent is the 995 compared to the 895. The price diffrence is about 70$ and i wouldn't mind too much about that money if i knew 995 was a lot better then the 895.

Any other RD to consider?
