Basically my dilemma is described in the title. I've got myself a Bel Vector 995 and it's a great detector; however, I've got a bike now and I need to be able to transfer a detector back and forth from the car.
I could go through the trouble of hardwiring my V995, but I'm not too keen on messing with that sort of stuff, and if I pay someone to do it it would probably cost the difference to get an S2.
Now my main concerns:
I know cordless detectors have generally had much lower performance than their corded counterparts, but I hear this isn't as much the case for the S2 since it's supposed to be one of the best. How big of a difference in performance is there between these two detectors? I don't really want to go backwards in technology, you know
How loud is the S2 on its loudest setting or how well does the earphone jack work? I need to be able to hear it on the bike.
Batteries aren't a concern since I have rechargables (and when I go back to school I don't drive the car everyday so they wouldn't wear too fast).
In case I missed any other threads on this please post them up.
