    Welcome to the board!!!!

Remember one thing you should not run two RDs in the same car because they would interfeare with the each other, most probably the Ka false that you had was the Bel setting off the escort, also it is said that when you run two RDs at the same time you loose performance.

Thank you for adding more info and real life results.

it's weird that the x-50 gets good range on the photo radar, i thought you need a special narrowband detector to pick those up

    Default x50 in perth

hey there, just thought u should know, if u speed with an x50 in perth u have buckleys against a multanova, trust me, and esp the back firing multanovas. try ur test at 6am on reid highway going west against the back firing multanova place in the centr island mate, bet u come off second best! if the x 50 is the best they can offer, we're in trouble, i use mine just to stay informed, it has never been of any help when going 20 over the limit.
    cheers

I've posted about this before, indeed the Escort X50 warns earlier than the Bel RX65... apparently not a hardware difference, but more a software one.

[quote="fastnfurious80"]Once again, i will re-itterate for some, I DO NOT INTENTIONALLY SPEED, and would never be STUPID enough to go 20km/h over the speed limit.

What im talking about is the times we all have been pinged for going a pathetic 5km/h over, out of purely not paying attention of our speedometer for a moment or two or entering a reduced speed zone.

As for approaching a radar from behind, I shouldve stated earlier, the Escort x-50 has performed extremely well against that condition also, (Collier Road, Bassendean), giving more than enough time to apply the brakes, if so, being a rear pointing radar setup. Meaning when I have been approaching a multanova from behind as it is aiming towards the oncoming trafic, (no threat to myself), I have easily 5 seconds before passing in line with it as it targets the opposite side of the road's oncoming traffic.

It may be that my Escort x50 is a newer revision than the previous poster's x50, that im not sure of, but what it all comes down to is the user 'ME' being satisfied with the performance.....and I am.

In my honest opinion, anyone deliberately doing 20km/s over the speed limit is an absolute idiot.

    Drive Smart, not Stupid.[/quot

hmm, well here's the deal, i've been driving for 35 years, sonny, i allways speed, i have places to go, never been caught, never been fined, never caused an accident either, not bad for an idiot hey. at least i didnt buy a detector on the eve of the state banning them. whose the idiot now.

the only device against speed detection is ones brain.
just passed a multanova on tonkin, 1.5 second warning. yup without a brain u'd be rooted!
