Cobra XRS 797 queston.

I was browsing Wally Worlds site and they have the Cobra XRS 797, does anyone know if this is a good detector or not? From what I have been reading here there is alot of Cobra trashers out there, but what about the higher priced ones are they any better? I went to Cobra's site and they don't even list this model there. Any info and feedback on this specific model the Cobra XRS 797 would be appreciated. Thanks

So what makes you think buying a "high priced" Cobra is going to make any difference? Have you seen any test results that would make you think its worth the money?Do you really believe the Cobra website or an independent forum? How many posts are on here saying the same thing time and time again?

If you dont believe us then buy the friggin the thing

Get yourself a nice X50 or V1..... You'll have piece of mind that you own a top notch detector that does it's job very well.

I agree...... Just because it looks like it's straight out of Star Trek doesn't mean it can save your A@@......

Oh I forgot to mention my wife wanted it! J/K Thanks for the help, I pretty much have decided on getting the Beltronics vector 995 it is not much more and from what I have read is a decent detector, really dont have the money for a $400 detector I know, I know it will pay for itself over time if I speed all the time, but I dont. Thanks for the help.

I ordered the Bel vector 995 from the Rat Shack today for $211 shipped to my house and they are a bel dealer so wont have to worry about warranty issues. They had them marked same price as the 985 and they had a 995 in stock at a store but wouldnt give me the $211 price because it wasnt in their system for that price so they just ordered it for me no big deal. Kinda anxious on how it compares to my ancient uniden ( yes uniden ) detector I know all the spots where it false alarms etc.
