I haven't been on the NJ Turnpike since I got into Radar Detectors, Gees, every 5 miles I got hit by X band. At first I thought it was falses until I saw the LEO cars.

I hear NJ still uses X band to quite an extent.Originally Posted by asianfire
I know it's 2006, but NJ should at LEAST catch up to the 90s.
Well with everyone turning off X band, what a way to raise revenue. You cant react to what you dont know.Originally Posted by Slower Joe

X2. I always wondered if a police dpt would buy some x-band units seeing how everyone is growing acustom to x-band being false alerts.
yeah, park in front of a grocery store and shoot x. I wonder if that would screw up their guns
problem is I dont get anymore X falses for stores its all K band for me now. I havent seen an x band false in awhile, except 1 car dealership about a year ago.
I leave X band on too. I paid too much for my RD to be turning options off.Originally Posted by asianfire
Luckily, in FL it is illegal for LEOs to use X band. I leave it on HWY (which scans X) when I leave town in case some small-town local yokel is still using it. That way I don't have to fight it in some kangeroo court. But locally I turn off X. That's why I love the "City No X" feature on my X50.Originally Posted by CactusMan
