Well, after much reading, here goes my first post. Kudos to Raday Roy and the boys for putting all that time and effort into this forum, well done guys!
I have a Cobra detector - an XRS 9400 - (yeah, I've since read up on things, and I'll eventually upgrade to something better plus some anti-laser stuff)...
Driving techniques combined with a detector are very important, so is this right?
-if I get a weak signal (like from a lazy LEO who is using the automatic scanners, or from a distant gun being aimed at traffic ahead of me) and it builds, I slow down, and act like normal traffic. This one makes sense.
-if I all of a sudden get a strong signal, or a laser warning (like from a gun in a speed trap), what should I do? do I hit the brakes immediately, and hope the LEO gets a confusing reading? but won't he see the "tell-tale front-end dip"?
-or, should I slow down gradually, avoiding the dip, but giving the LEO a better chance to get a better reading on me?
which one has better chances of avoiding a ticket?
