I know that the Georgia State Patrol uses both KA and Laser. I passed two GSP cars yesterday on I-75 SB between Chattanooga and Atlanta. I picked up one using KA on my X50, and saw another shooting laser out of his window.
GSP also uses K-band quite extensively, especially the Genesis 1. KA is usually the Golden Eagle. Laser is PL3 and some PL2. With radar, GSP is almost always instant on. Trust me, they really know what they're doing!

I haven't put the cb back in the car, so I don't know if anyone is letting you know.
Be very careful in Cobb and Dekalb. Don't trust anything stopped on the side of the road - they hide behind parked cars, under the bridges and one the ramps. Don't drive in the HOV unless you have company.
f you drive fast but stealthy, there are so many other cars on the road you can be okay.
You know - don't buy a "look at me I'm going fast even though I'm not moving" car - stay out of the fast lane - don't fly by people in the slow lane - don't weave - don't put a 50 gal drum for an exhaust on your 3 hampsters on crack motor.....
A stealthy car is key - when I was in my 20's and working for my dad, he has a company car that i'd use from time to time. It was a green vw passat. I went by a Maine trooper at aver 100mph, he looked up and then went back to his newspaper. I was all alone on the road so no good point of reference I guess.
I don't get clocked much in the Saab either, good old Edwardian Grey.

On 20 just mainly watch for them around bushes and trees. i was down in Augusta about a month ago and ran into K band a couple times. if your up in the ATL area, then i hope you have a jammer. they love laser.
I too live here in Augusta. Moved here last November. Welcome to the town!
