My hobby for the past year or so has been microwave and radar. I scour eBay for motion sensors and old radar detectors.

I saw on this net a picture of an old Fuzzbuset that was turned into into a microwave field strength meter. I've done that with several detectors. I'd like to meet others who have done that.

I have hopped up motion sensors with radar detectors and used satellite dishes to extend the range of detectors. The fun part about microwave electronics is that it is a combination of optics, mechanical and used radar detectors.

I'm looking for others on RadarDetector Net who also have this as a hobby.

I also want to take this opportunity to thank JimBonzzz (the professor) and others for their technical help. I learn a lot from you guys.

If there's enough interest perhaps RadarDetector Net can have a category called "mods" or ham radio or technical or something.

I've been wanting to play around with an RD and a satellite dish... once when I was at the scrapyard, there was an old Chevy pickup loaded with four or five old DirecTV dishes in the bed, missing the LNB's... The next time I was there I wanted to grab one for the RD experiment but it was already crushed for steel :x

how many do you want? I have a bunch sitting around from te latest upgrade.

You can also buy new for $25.00 USD for a single LNB dish, and sell the LNB for more than $25.00 to the correct buyers
