    Default Believe it or not?

    Believe it or not?

Don't know if this is the right place for it.
I heard a story today about a speed trap that kept hearing a loud car pass by two nights in a row but they saw nothing. So the local PD set up a speed trap with constant-on radar hoping to get a reading on whatever it was they were hearing. Two nights later they get a 176MPH reading, but again see no car only hear it. The following night they set the trap again and this time put chase car two miles down the road. They got a reading of 190 or something like that and alerted the chase cars. The story now go like this, the chase car some how pull the car over. It turns out it's a black Lamborghini Diablo driving without its lights on and the driver is wearing night vision goggles. Now I don't know weather to believe it. Chances are it's B.S. but I still think it's awesome. What do you guys think.

Hey, nice story. Its an urban legand. BTW this is a radar detector forum, not a speeders forum The goggles are more interesting than the car. Yes I know, its sickness.

that kinda speed isnt too farfetched for a Lambo ANYTHING......theyre pretty low profile and if its Black itll blend right in, and if there are no street lights........need I say more.........killing the lights, its common sense if youre going to be doing stuff like that...........NVGs easy enough to come by, you just gotta know where to look (and if youve got a Lambo, then thatll be pocket change).................so IMO it's believable, but I doubt anyone is that stupid

Yeha i know this isn't really the right place for it but i'm sure that many people will get a kick out of the story. And thanks for the link it confirms that it's all B.S. but still a very cool story.

Never underestimate human stupidity. It knows no bounds.

If it was real, he probably had a Crapra or RMR in that Lambo.

If speed kills, how come I'm still alive?

    Oh if only you knew.........................

This has been around for a long time. By the way it was a 15 year old driving the car with heroin stacked to his shoulders. The car was totally blacked out, dull black rims the whole nine yards. Some drug runner had this kid running drugs up the east coast in the middle of the night. I will see if I can find the story.....
