    Default recieved a ticket

Well...today I recieved a ticket from a Louisiana State Cop shooting Instand Ka band. My V1 was on and ready to pick up the leo's. I had a Rabbit in front of me about 1/8 of a mile on a nice 4 lane highway.

Nothing could go wrong! Rabbit...detector...nice road...I am good to go. Nope...he waited for me and hit me doing 79 in a 65. I was able to slow from 85 to 79 but not enough....

I have come to realize that speeding just isn't worth it as I have no money and now my insurance is going to increase. I am done with detectors and I am just going to go the PSL as you only save 10 minutes speeding anyway...

    No.

@ aaseavey - I dont do more than 5-10 over unless its a super long trip - its only gonna save you like 5 minutes. If you have a high end detector, sell it and get a budget detector. Your couriosity is still going to want to know everytime you see a cop - is his radar on?

As for your ticket - see if you can plead down. Have Sufdaddy help you out :-D. I'm sorry too dude.

    WRONG!

    Rabbit - YES!
Detector - YES! (but shouldn't have spent $400... you wasted about $200).
Nice Road - Only if you mean no hiding spots in the median or off the shoulder...

Only missing THE MOST IMPORTANT line of defense...

STAYING ALERT! Constantly scanning, anticipating, and using common sense by slowing down when a potential hiding spot approaches, a curve in the road lies ahead, a downhill slope, etc. Oh, and try to avoid more than 14 mph over the speed limit (in a 65mph zone).

Hopefully you can plead down... so next time you can make sure ALL aspects are covered! Good luck in court.

Just out of curiosity did the LEO see your V1 when he was writing up the ticket? Did he say anything?

Sorry to hear that aaseavey, I could expect faster V1 behaviour...
When speeding over the limit, you have to be very careful on hitting the brakes quick qhen an alert will come up from the RD.
The RD is the number 1 factor that will help avoiding a ticket so you will have to keep using it...

Well as for the LEO seeing the detector No. I know that your eyes are the number one defense but I have traveled this road so much and the V1 has worked great I just got too relaxed. But yes the V1 is on ebay and next will be the RX65

Good luck in not getting a ticket without using a RD.

Once I got a ticket for doing 54km/h in a 50area. If I was using the RD I wouldn't get that one.
Keep at least one of them
