No way did the X50 & STi beat the V1 in laser. Same thing on the long range (9 mile) test. How could the RX65 beat the V1 on a 1000' license plate shot?
Who was the trigger man & who was behind the wheel? Follow the money.

X2! That is just simply not possible. Other radar detectors don't even come close to the V1's laser detection. Yet another reason SML test are a joke to me.Originally Posted by Radar_Dick

waiting on GOL
We waited all this time for tainted results, what a joke. I don't know who these guys think they are going to push over. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that these results aren't that great. And somehow that the laser jammer results didn't even get officially published. Wonder why??
Why are they jepordizing their credibility to make a few quick bucks?? Why not just make your detectors and jammers better - and let them show for themselves.
why is everyone so quick to say the results are tainted? why not just say this is what happened on this particular day in these particular conditions?
I found the results to be quite good and i wouldnt be concerned no matter which of the top 3 i had.
i have found my rx65 is better then the v1 with Ka. tests same the same thing. i have picked up laser on my rx65 as well. but who knows how far. Buy what you want. each of the top 3 had stellar performance.
They may be tainted....but I wouldn't say they are for sure just because the V1 didn't come out on top...It still did well.
I'm quite new to all of this, but it does seem that V1 users are very defensive....
RX65 is very responsive to Pro Laser III and it almost never misses an alert. Try an Ultralyte, it's guaranteed to miss 50% of the time when aimed at the plate within 500ft. This is one of the major reasons why I've switched to a V1.
As for Ka radar, both perform quite well. But RX65 doesn't have much range on rear detection after you pass the radar source.

Prolly because as "sethy" says, Blinder didn't come out on top. Oh yeah - they were the ones testing the jammers too, how convenient.
I really think that these other detector companies pay these so called testers to advertise there product as the best, honestly i think valentine does not pay no one because i had all three and this one outperforms all of them,i also think theres a couple of people in these forums that actually work for these companies and post positive things about them.
