Default what speed does your city ticket at?

what speed does your local police deparment general start handing out tickets?

mine is 15mph over. before you are ticketed.. just wondering what some of the other speeds are.

disclaimer: i know there are a ton of variables. but i am speaking in general.

Sometimes they'll get you for 6 - sometimes they'll let you go at 15.

It depends on too many things - there is no set standard they all seem to live by.

I received a ticket for going 35 mph in a 30 zone.....but it was probably largely to the other part of the ticket "failure to slow for a bicyclist" (how gays is that) I think it was set up my the local PD.

The young punks in some of the little cities around here would ticket their own grandmothers for 1 mph over!!

They are all a bunch of shaved-head traffic Nazi's With little weenies and big attitude. And they love to use their brand new taser units on people that are not resisting, or agressive. the most recent taser use was on an injured victim of a bar fight, that refused medical attention and was walking away from the officer when tasered. Maybe they went to tasers because the constant use of pepper spray was getting expensive from it's overuse.

One of them (cop) recently got beaten pretty bad from harrassing the wrong person, maybe his little gang of wank-yanker cohorts will get the message that their negative attitudes towards the wrong people might get them hurt.

    WOW!

    You guys have it easy!!

In Melbourne, Australia, we get 2km/h grace (they knock 2km/h off your targeted speed) and then they can book you for any speed violation - even 1km/h over!!

It's not uncommon to get done for 65km/h in a 60km/h zone (ticketed at 63km/h)

    PS: 60km/h = 37.3miles/h

I read that the N.C.HP wont issue a ticket unless its over 10 because anything under usually gets thrown out in court.
