Default if you had a choice?

here's a question from this newbie...
If you had a choice between a:
    Cobra xrs9830
    or a
    Bel 945,

Either for free, new. Which would you choose?

I've got "free money" at a local retailer to spend... I want a decent Radar laser detector... but the retailer cannot order any other models... etc. That's what they have, that's my choice...

Without a doubt, go for the Bel. Cobra makes ok detectors, but if you can get a Bel, go for it. you will be much happier, and will be less likely to get a ticket, as long as you use your detector wisely, and not just assume that because you have a detector, that you will not get tickets. The detector is just a tool, not an overall solution.

Bel. I wouldn't take a Cobra if they paid me $100 for it.

    yep,

That's what I thought. I've been reading these forums for a while. And while I'd prefer a V1 or STi.. They ain't free, and these are...

I don't usually speed much.. but sometimes, I drift upwards... ya know, my foot gets tired and all... Pretty soon it just tries to rest itself closer to the floorboard....

Thanks for the input folks, I'll get the Bel...

Lets put it this way, you're better not having one - than a cobra.
