Since lasers are usualy targeted at headlights and I read that halogen headlights make it harder to pick up with a laser ,How do Xenon headlights compare for stealthyness with radar?

i was wondering the same thing too, did GOL test any cars with HID lights?
I doubt the bulb is going to have any affect on the laser return. What really makes a difference is the housing and reflective plastic that sits around the bulb.
As for headlights, there was an article a long time ago by Car & Driver or somebody that said they had some effect reducing the range of first-gen laser guns. But, they probably don't do too much against today's laser guns. Maybe we'll try this out one of these days to get some hard numbers.
It might make a slight difference, but it certainly wouldn't be an effective countermeasure IMHO...
headlights only effect 1st generation laser guns

So if headlights dont have any effect on new generation lazers ,what do the lazers pick up on?
Lasers use IR-light to bounce a beam of light to your car and back to the gun and the gun then calculates how fast you were going by the speed at which the laser came back to the gun...Originally Posted by cr500
If that doesn't make sense I am sure jim could explain it better
