Default Rear and front radar detectors in the same vehicle?

Currently I have a bel 995 mounted in a 2005 Pontiac Vibe. I am thinking about also mounting a bel 925 that I already own on the back window pointing out to the rear of the vehicle to help against laser. Do you think the detectors will be far enough apart so they will not interfere with each other? I thought I might as well ask before I attempt to do this.

This is not the first time that someone has asked about doing this. The thing about radar detectors is that they not only receive signal, they also transmit them. Even if you try running them both, they may act like they are not causing trouble with eachother, somethimes you can't tell. Just becasue they seem to work together, Doesn't mean that they are.

Besides the things already mentioned, it isn't likely to give you much protection against laser...

I think there's a lot less interference than people claim. What about the people who have dual passport SR7s? and why doesn't the valentine interfere with itself? As long as you're using high end detectors, I think you should be fine.

Agreed. My SR7's give great performance with no issues. they are about 6' apart, in cab.

actually when i got the X50 the other day i took it out for a spin and when i turned it on, it gave a brief false ka on the front SR7. now this was about 1-2' away. i do agree though that if you have them both nearby on the windshield it could cause some interference.

now i did turn that off for the rest of the run.

overall i don't see an issue with this, if ones up front facing out and the other is in the back facing out.

HOWEVER, this doesn't guarantee that they'll play nice together, so i would recommend some testing, to make sure that you don't suffer a loss of performance.

i gotta go with the Professor on this one, it won't do much for Laser. it may give you some good alerts, but you'll need some jammers to actually protect you.

good luck and let us know what you do.

Well, when i put an Escort8500 and an RX65 together ,my Escort was alerting me k band every 5 seconds and the RX lost all its range so i do think they interfere with each other pretty bad.

Default Escort x50 and Bel 995

I ve tried running a Bel 995 and X50 together about 12" apart.
The Bel 995 went off to false k bands every 20mins which wasnt too bad but what did concern me was the Bell995 filtering seem to increase and where it would give a 14 second warning on KA camera it would give 1 sec.
I have tested this twice now and on both times the Bell 995 sensitivity dropped when running next to the X50.

    Cheers
