    Default Interesting Finds on Ebay

While looking around ebay at RD's (not to buy any of them!!) I ran across a Bel STi XR. Looks just like to STi Driver. Even has the magnesium casing. I haven't seen that one mentioned on here. Curious to know if it's a European model or something like the RX 65 and the RX 55? Also ran across a Harley Davidson Road Tech Touring Radar Laser Detector by Escort. Just thought it was interesting. Wonder if Roy has one for his Harley? I even ran across some vintage RD's like the Bird Dog.

Ok, I have to admit it. I did buy an RD off of ebay a couple weeks ago. It was an old Cobra Trapshooter RD 3110 for $16.00. New in the box even. That model RD was my first when I was a teenager. I bought it out of nastalgia I guess.
Outside Independence Hall when the Constitutional Convention of 1787 ended, Mrs. Powel of Philadelphia asked Benjamin Franklin, "Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?" With no hesitation whatsoever, Franklin responded, "A republic, if you can keep it."

-Cobra Trapshooter RD-31XX? (Can't remember silver/teardrop shape X, K only). -Cobra Trapshooter RD-3110 (my first RD in 1987, when Cobras were good, bought one off ebay for nostalga new in the box). -Kustom HAWK. -Kustom Falcon cordless K Band. -Kustom Talon.

What's wrong with buying off Ebay? If you're careful, ask the right questions, and do your homework there shouldn't be a problem. I bought my X50 from Ebay a year ago. No problems. Even if I would have to send it in if it would fail and pay the $75, I'll still be money ahead from the price of new.

Ebay sellers are liable for what their auction states, including any messages they send you about their product they are selling. If they misrepresent the product, Ebay will go to bat for you.

I just had a problem with a seller that I purchased a cell phone from. After 3 weeks and 2 promises to send it, a quick reminder from Ebay after I complained, got me a full refund.

There is nothing wrong with buying from EBay. I have bought several things off of Ebay. That's where I got my radar from. I think that was the very first thing I bought off of Ebay. I was ripped off trying to buy a MPH Bee radar unit though. I only got around $175 recovered out of $250. I have bought things since such as my Galaxy CB. But a lot of folks here will warn you to not buy a high end RD new in box for extremely cheap prices. They say they are more than likely refurbished and shouldn't even be sold in the US. Also note my last paragragh.

Ray, I bought my RX65 off EBay and got a 3 year warranty from Square Trade (hope I can say that) in June and have no problems thus far. Version 6.1 with the M4 antenna. Just make sure you buy from a seller with a good record (100%) and has been around for a while. Just do your homework, ask a lot of questions and you should be good to go.
