MN to KS
This fall I am going on a road trip, from Minnesota through all of Iowa through a corner of Missouri and into Kansas.
Minneasota - K, KA, Pace method, Laser, VASCAR, POP (I didnt know mn had pop)
Iowa - Ka, K, Laser, VASCAR
Missouri - Laser, K and Ka, airborne vascar, X
Kansas - KA, VASCAR(rare), Laser
I got this from http://www.radardetector.net/List-of...e-U.S-589t.php
If anyone drives I35 through these states and can give me a heads up, especially through Iowa, with their 60mph limit(unless it has changed).
Iowa is 70 now... but watch out... them and their ****ing moving instant on is insane, they cicrle sections of the highway waiting to pull people over, this is mostly south of des moines to missouri. They seem to be a bit better with it and sometimes tend to only use it when they plan on pulling over. Des moines... keep it to 5-10 over, the speed limit changes a bit and is enforced heavily.
Also clinton county missouri, watch for speed traps on overpasses and vascar by airplane... that county is huge for speed traps.
Kansas city.. speed traps likely on 35 weekdays once you go through downtown until you go under 635, generally pull for 15+ in the 65. let me where you are going in kansas and i can tell you what cities are likely for what. Motorcycle cops in kansas run pro laser 3, but otherwise its mostly radar here. Remember, kansas up to 10 over on a highway is just a fine so they generally will not pull over for 10 over.
We are going from the Twic Cities to Lawerence Ks. Last trip my mom got pulled in Mo in a construction zone for a cool double fine, a nice Christmas present $400+. But now with the V1 it should be a fairly quick and un-eventful trip. Thanks for the pointers.
Yup, slow it down for construction, there is plenty of it. Des moines to kansas city will be the areas for enforcement. Watch it when you go through downtown kansas city, it drops to like 45 on the highway. Kansas is relatively low enforcement and speeding tickets can be doubled to nonmoving. Lawrence runs a few well known traps, but the v1 should get them. Have a fun trip.
