This is from the September, 1986 issue of Road&Track. I meant to scan it last month. The more things change, the more they stay the same. The Cobra leaked the most and set all the other RD's off . A Hyundai Excel had an MSRP of $4 995. So probably multiply the prices x2 to get an idea in 2006 dollars. Note the slick Fuzzbuster unit, anyone seen one in real life? And the slick poster of my car :P

Also threw in a Bel ad from the same issue. There were several other Passport, Cobra, MicroFox, etc ads there too but I was tired.

That is awesome! I remember reading that issue as a little kid... hah! Yes, I loved RD's when I was little! I remember thinking the Passport/Escort was so cool! Seems like Bel was a smaller player in the RD world back then? And. Whilster looked like alien technology! Wow 20 years later and Cobra is still leaking with dirty RDs.
