    Default GOL Radar Test

After my 3.851 j-ed out two real LEO's using Ka-band i was ticked off and went to the Escort 8500 X50. Now im ticked off. Ka-band is the main band used in my area. But these recent test results have me worried. I like my x50 because it never filters out a real leo but the range does seem to lack a little compared to V1. Should i sell my x50 and go to the Valentine 3.856? Also note that the x50 tested wasnt my rev. 6..

Guys the X50 has always placed second to the V1, I can't believe you guys thought that the X50 would be better than the V1

    The performance overall is V1-->BEL RX65(usa mode)--->BEL STi---> Escort X50

Guys there is also no reason to give up your detector just cause the V1 has better performance! You X50 has great performance so why get a new detector?

    Spoiler: show

I've long been contemplating selling my x50 and sticking with my 3.826 / V1 in general.

But yes, the GOL test did help solidify that plan.

crazyVOLVOrob is not just because it dtected better, but the tremendous amount of difference between the two.

    For example.

    Ka-band 33.8
    V1: 754 ft.
    X50: 218 ft.
    Difference:536 ft.

    Ka-band 35.5
    v1: 769 ft.
    x50: 244 ft.
    Difference: 525 ft.

To me thats something to worry about.

NO there is not that much difference. THAT WAS NOT A REAL WORLD TEST... that tested sensitivity as it that means the V1 will false easier. I have had both and ran both and what i found was that Ka in 35.5 was about 1 sec quicker with the X50, yes quicker... and on 34.7 they were the same. Both had enough time to slow down and yes both were ran at the same time on seperate sides of the windshield so i understand that doesnt regulate a "good" test but im satisfied.. But do what you want because ultimatly your the one driving with it not us, so im not going to vote because i think its your choice but dont base it on that test. Did you read the part that shows what they did to the radar gun to block majority of its Ka waves?

i am wondering myself if i should sell the x50 on go to the rx65 now.. i will not buy a v1 again for some time till these constant rev changes are coming much less frequently ...

so should i sell the x50 to go to the rx65 since ka is my most comon threat. the rx65 faired almost as well as the v1 im most of the tests..

That is NOT a real life test Re-Read the test results.
I'm also thinking on selling it but still the X50 is one of the Top 4

Ohh and the newest version is 3.858

this is completly ridiculus mike V is going to love this forum after he sees this tests. the only thing this test shows is that the V1 will jump on a reading quicker. This is a double sided sword. When the V1 falses yall get pissed and get the X50 and then you complain it has worse range. Since this test came out im selling my X50 and buying a RMR

I still have an X50. Remember guys that manufacturing variance effects some more than others. The X50 is stii a great detector with nice features
