I looked at the escort site but i couldn't really understand the differences. Is it just the display? Or are there more features?

The displays are different, but I believe the GTII has more memory.

G Timer 2: memory for 10 runs, blue display, "Advanced G-Meter Function," power cable with remote control, info is downloadable

G Timer 1: memory for 1 run, LCD backlit, no "Advanced G-Meter Function," standard power cable, cant download info.

Basically, for the 30 dollars more (buying from Roy) you get capacity for more runs, a nifty blue display(perfect with X50 Blue  ), and ability to d/l your info onto a laptop(with optional cable  ).

Now that I think about it, the G Timer 2 isnt such a bad deal

Just another thought on the G2-Timer. For those of us that are really into the race seen or if you just want to know a little more about your car. Now the GT2 measures acceleration time, 1/4 mile time, braking distance, g-force, basic g-meter function, advanced g-meter function, and horsepower. And the difference between the two is that the GT1 does not have the advanced g-meter function, not able to download, and has normal LCD display with no remote. The GT2 has a new vacuum fluorescent (blue) display with a remote and can store up to ten runs where the GT1 can only store one.
