Hi everyone! I'm making (yet another on this forum) post asking for help on how to install this thing right.
Today for about an hour I fiddled around and was able to tuck the wire in and around from were the rd is to behind a spot below the radio.
The problem is I don't have a voltmeter or whatever you call it, so I figured I could just use one of the wires from the sig lighter. The sig lighter has a black and a red wire. I chose the red wire, striped it with some scissors, and plugged in the wire. I then unscrewed a screw put on the ground thing and screwed the screw back in.
Anyways, I try plugging in my rx65 and it doesn't turn on. Does this mean I should have used the black, instead of the red, wire? Or is there a chance my ground isn't right? I think it is kind of silly. Who ever heard of a ground wire for a car? I mean the tires are rubber, so shouldn't there not be any such thing as a ground wire?
I'm going on a trip for the weekend. Tomorrow morning I will try the black wire.
Advice would be wonderful! Anyone else who has done this is it the black wire on your sig lighter? Or is my ground not right, or what?
btw: this is my first time doing anything with a car, so it is quite new for me.
