RacerX and I are out at SEMA Las Vegas taking in the show, lots of neat stuff and will post more with photos in the next couple days, but here are some tid-bits:
1: Nothing new at the Bel/Escort booth, but hearing rumors of something new in the works on the Escort side mid 2007
2: Cheetah has some really cool interface devices for radar detectors and laser jammers that we got to see (but we cannot discuss). But look for some really cool stuff from them 1st quarter of 2007
3: Whistler is coming out with a solar powered radar detector. Similar in design as the 1788, but has a solar pannel ontop.
4: If you have thinking about getting a new laser jammer, WAIT! Again, something we cannot discuss but within the next 30 days, there will be something new, just in time for Christmas!!
5: RMR and Rual is out at the show. Something interesting I noticed different at this years display. They incased their MPH radar gun and their Phasor in a plastic case so you cannot move either item. Their scrambler is only 6 inches from the gun as in previous years, but my guess is that they are fearful that someone <grin> would ask that their jammer be moved further away to see if it still had any effect on the antiquated radar gun that they use...
6: The VF1 and VF2 photo jammer has been redesigned. The photo jammer has more power and also better sensitivity. We plan on retesting one of their new units in the next few weeks.
7: Lidatek canceled out a few weeks before SEMA and we are really not sure what is going on with their operation. Their US/Canadian Sales Manager just resigned. They make an awsome jammer in a small package. We will try to keep tabs on what is going on with their operation.
Stay tuned for more info, photos and perhaps some video....

I can add that some of the Cheetah stuff will be available in the next couple weeks, after shipments have arrived.
namely the wireless install kit for the Blinder jammer.
other products are soon to follow and will be discussed further at a later time.

That's some of the best news I've heard in a long time. I hope it kicks a$$!

Amen to that. We need competition so AL does not get too comfortable and control the market.
You want to know what it is like doing something for the love and passion and not for the mighty dollar then look up GOL!

:?: :?: :?:
What is that? Optically triggered photoflash to aim at license plate? I just never heard of a "photo jammer." Sounds interesting at any rate!
please just walk up to Rual and ask him why there in a case now. ask him to take it farther away. explain to the people around it that your not going be going 80 mph 6inches from the gun, so why not put it a 1/4 mile away. get RacerX to videotape it .

That is a very good idea!
He'll just say that this is the best "real world" situation for the jammer. That moving it away is in its design to not work because its not setup like the manual says -
Or something along that line.
