Friday I was walking back to my car and I noticed something in the windshield of a car. It was a radar detector, but man was it small.d
I guess the question is, who makes really small radar detectors?

uniden did for awhile, but i believe that they are out of that business now.
corbas made some really small ones too. But their more recent ones are larger.
Yeah, I had the same experience yesterday. It was velcro-attached to a guy's RVM (under). It LOOKED like a Bel unit, but was smaller. Maybe half the size and thickness of my old 715i. Had colored LEDs along the front. Even had that Bel curve (hee hee...bell curve...that's nerdy...) to the LED-end.
Cobra would probably be about right, they seem to be the most popular in my area.
Could it be the one on the right? This was a Radio Shack RD and could be Velcroed to the top of a RVM.
From L-->R: Modified Fuzzbuster with SS meter. Uniden LRD9100SW on top of Uniden RD9-XL, Cobra badged OEM on Passport 5000, Whistler 975, R/S unit.

In that pic, the second from the left on bottom is tiny when taken out of the bracket. A little larger than a pager. Guess you can make those little ones when you don't have laser...
It may have been like the one on the right, but perhaps just slighly smaller. I don't think the bracket was quite like that.
The snooper is small and so are pni detectors.
problem is the waveguide is small so you cant expect high performance, although it would work well on normal radar but its a no no for gatsos, although my snooper did give a few seconds to slow down....
That looks like what I saw.Originally Posted by laserblaster
