Where are my Jersey people?

I have a few questions about POP/lidar in Jersey. First off, if any of you have encountered laser in NJ, what part of the state were you in? I looked in the state specific section of the forum and I did not see POP on the list of radar used in NJ, so I was wondering why some of you guys have POP on in your sigs. Furthermore, does turning POP off lessen the falses you get on other bands? I've never had a POP false, so I might as well keep it on if it's not affecting anything.

Don't forget about X band use in New Jersey. They like to surprise you w/ it!

yea ive never had a pop false either, nor have i seen laser yet(i guess thats a good thing).
and yes...Xband. i hate it. all the local town around me(including myne) primarily use xband, they have some K but not much. sucks i wish i could turn it off.

i do know for a fact that they use laser on the GSP (Garden State Parkway)

NJ uses everything, but I don't believe POP is around. POP-on causes no problems wih the V1 or rev 6.1 Belscorts in terms of false alarms. I leave it on for this reason. Otherwise the Belsorts are BEL 985s or original 8500s with poorer X-Band performance. X-Band is still very important in NJ.

Well I can personally tell you that Laser is big on GSP and i have encounter it on the turnpike by the airport and between exit 4 to 15 so watchout they do nail you from behind on the on ramp they just wait until you go by and you get blasted from behind no much you can do about it but slow down when you see those ramps. As far as Xband is concern i have seen it on the Turnpike and the GSP use weekly I have not had pop go off yet on the V1 but on the X50 it did go off a few times but never saw a LEO, so I think is safe to assume it was a false alarm.
