Cobra sets off Whistler VG-2

I was fooling around the other day by putting my Cobra and Whistler next to each other, and I found it interesting that the Cobra sets off the VG-2 on my new Whistler. Cool .

Whistler VG2 alert goes off a LOT for other RDs. Not just Cobra. I've even seen one other Whistler do it.

As a sidenote, my friend's 6.1 X50 intermittantly sets off my X alert on my RX65 if i'm following him, so I guess even the big guys aren't immune from setting off other RDs.

When instant-on was rare around here, I was pretty happy with mine. But times change and Cobra RDs do not.

i videoed a Uniden SWS5000 and a RMR 315 and the uniden sets the rmr off either way both crap radars.

Well, as long as it's not Ka band, Cobras actually aren't terrible with detection

Just they annoy the crap outta everyone. My 9400 sets off:

A constant K or Ka band alert for a two-car radius or so when VG2 is on.

A very rare intermittent pulse of Ka every like 5 minutes when VG2 is off.


Both are quite annoying though arguably the second option victimizes fewer drivers than the first
