Whistler makes a good detector for the money, but I would steer clear of any Cobra unless you want a speeding ticket.

I can not edit your post, or otherwise I would. I do not have mod rights to the Radar Detectors General Area. However , please do not post links to websites or prices from other websites.

You may purchase a detector from www.radarbusters.com if you wish.

    The top detectors are

    Bel STI
    V1
    Escort 8500 X50
    BEL RX65

Many other detectors will not be worth your money.

I have the Whistler 1793SE and it's an excellent detector that doesn't trail too far from the big guns at a very reasonable/efficient price.

It gives plenty of warning in advance for a graceful reaction to an alert.
