I would like to know if these STI's were purchased at a retail store or where they provided by the manufacturer? I can tell you that we have tested countless of V1's and a few STI's and they both perform well. Go to www.guysoflidar.com to see the numbers.

    Default yep

Yea, I have seen the GOL tests, too. I just found the V-1 results sooooo far off on the Radartest.com site. Maybe the STI IS really that good in Ka sensitivity.

well if your outdated and cant keep up then get out of the game or reorganize your gameplan. If these tests were to be used as the yardstick to measure by then V1 will not survive. You can only exist so long on loyality if you are not at top of the pack soo long....

    Default nope

v-1 is not outdated. the internals change when warranted. just because the outside does not change all that much, does not mean the guts don't. Craig is sooooooo anal about V-1's look..which, btw, is more of a solid look than the others.

Just look at our numbers at our site. The STI has good performance. Look at Michael B's lab sensitivity numbers if you need further info.

    Default looked

i have looked at them (the tests on GOL) ...and they are nothing like Radartest.com. VERY much different. So I wonder if Craig got a juiced unit. Or the V-1 was just a "bad" unit....

Wow, 11.25 miles on Ka? That's huge. Do the V1's really die on you in the hot sun? Then again, that's why you dont leave it in the sun without the AC on.

GREAT questions. This is one of many reasons why we formed our own test team so we can see results with our own eyes.

IMO the STI has notably better Ka sensitivity than V1, but it's tiny antenna hinders the performance to be roughly the same on the road.

I like how the Ka graph starts at 6 miles so it looks like the V1 has but a tiny slice of the bar on the STI. Hehe
