    Default New to the forum!

    Hey everyone! I'm new to the forum. I just replaced a very old (15 years?) Early Warning brand Radar detector that suited me very well all these years; that is, until the visor clip finally snapped off.

    So I decided to upgrade to an Escort 8500 x50. Based upon all the reviews I have read here and elsewhere, I expect it to be a good buy. I look forward to learning as much as I can from this community- everyone seems to be extremely knowledgeable!
