Default Cobra making a good product?

While talking to a local Car Toys employee who knew alot about RD (he has a STI as he used to live in Canada) said how he hates cobras but said this friday Cobra is unveiling a new RD that runs around 450 bucks. Apparently its like the STI being completly full proof and he said it surprisingly performed very good at the Car & Driver mag test. (the employee's bro works for the mag so he knew)

Any thoughts? O and the new detector apparently detects red light cameras.

    Default I guess

I guess we will have to wait until tomorrow to see it in action. Heck, there might be someone in Chicago that will be using it too.

From a quick search from Google I found a picture of the new product. Seems to be a new remote unit. I couldn't find any deep spec except what he said about the red light cameras. Also no pricing or release date was announced.

Model: Cobra XRS R9G 12-Band Maximum Performance Remote Series

    Default I mentioned

I mentioned Chicago because Cobra has their headquarters located there. I think off of Cortland St.

Cobra has never made a good detector so this would truly be a first.

I laughed at the title of the thread. This thing would have to be amazing to change people over from a big 3/4 unit. I DOUBT it.

No matter how good a Cobra is I will NEVER spend $450 on one, EVER.

A while ago I was talking about GPS Tech. and many people said it would be useless. I think it is a great idea for city users.

I am by no means a cobra supporter and spending that kind of cash on one is scary, but the GPS feature is awesome.

looking forward to new things to come from Bel and maybe V1.
